Andy Windsor
- Vice Captain
Age: 21
Position: Goalkeeper
First Signed for the Club: January
2006
Club appearances:
128 In a position that is
probably the most difficult to fill, we are lucky to have
one of the most consistent and level-headed goalkeepers in
the league. Andy has always been a superb shot-stopper, and
he has continued to improve with every season. He is also
one of the most universally respected members of the club.

Tom Evans
Age: 25
Position: Full Back/Central
Midfield
First Signed on the for Club: August
2004
Club appearances: 140
Goals: 17
Over recent seasons, Tom has turned from an attacking player
into a tenacious, defensive midfielder. Tom had another
influential campaign last season despite playing through a
constant niggling injury. He underwent a double-hernia
operation in May. This will hopefully see Tom return to
command the regular place in the side that his qualities
deserve.

seasons. Ian has played a big part in the club’s improvement
over the last 3-4 seasons.

First signed on for the Club:
July 2004
Club appearances: 154
Goals: 3
Gary is the heartbeat of the dressing room and is one of the
most popular characters at the club. He is a strong
left-footed defender who has been a regular in the team for
many years. Last year Gary’s season was disrupted through
injury and it was telling that the team often struggled in
his absence.

Kev
Hamersley
Age: 30
Position: Right
Back
First Signed on the for Club:
Sept 2004
Club appearances:
137
Goals: 6
No other player at the club has monopolised a single
position in the starting line-up for as long as Kev has. He
is a solid and capable right-back, who reads the game
extremely well and is tenacious in everything that he does.
Kev was the only ever-present player during last season.

Brett Cullen
Age: 33
Position: Attacking midfielder/Centre
forward
First Signed on the for Club: August
2005
Club appearances: 150
Goals: 32
Brett is one of the physically strongest strikers in the
Trowbridge League. His ability to hold-up the ball in
attacking positions and his aerial ability has played a
crucial part in so many of the team’s best performances.
Brett has also been one of the most loyal clubman over the
years and it is great to see him making such an important
impact on the team.

Shaun Jefferies
Age: 25
Position: Winger/Striker
First Signed on for the Club: August
2004
Club appearances: 102
Goals:63
Hopefully, Shaun will be available frequently this season,
because the team is always undoubtedly stronger when we have
his guile and goal-poaching instincts in the side. Shaun is
the club’s record goal scorer and is also now the only
player to have scored in every season since we were formed
in 2004.

Kev Windsor
Age: 49
Position: Goalkeeper
First Signed on the for Club: February
2006
Club appearances: 18
Kev watches the team almost every week and is always
available to play in goal should the opportunity present
itself. Kev pulled off some superb saves during last year’s
pre-season friendlies and in the very last game of the
season.

Sophie Wootton
Age: 18
Position: Club Secretary
Although the youngest secretary in the league, Sophie is
also one of the most efficient. In a season where 12 teams
lost league points and collected substantial fines because
of admin errors, we went through the whole of last season
unscathed. This is in large part due to Sophie. She also
runs the line for us most weeks and is the current holder of
the divisional Linesman of the Year award.

Stuart
Windsor - Club Captain
Age: 19
Position:
Midfield/Striker
First Signed on the for Club: July
2008
Club appearances:
83

Stu is comfortably the best all-round midfielder to have
played for Calne Eagles. Although he is a creator and scorer
of goals, Stu is also equally adept at the defensive side of
the game. He is also a superb athlete and is
uncompromisingly consistent.

Phil
Gay
Age: 28
Position: Winger/Striker
First Signed on the for Club: October 2008
Club appearances:
37
Goals: 7 Work
commitments, further-education and moving house meant that
Phil effectively had to take a sabbatical from playing
football last season. Prior to this break, Phil had played a
big part in the club’s previous two seasons.

Bobby Randal
Age: 30
Position: Winger/Striker
First signed for club:
July 2009
Club appearances: 25
Goals: 0 Bobby is a
tough and skilful attacking player who can be a real handful
for the opposition. Bobby has always been available to help
the team out when needed, and had it not been for some
niggling injuries and work commitments, he would have played
a much bigger part for the club than he has.

Club appearances: 45
Goals: 11 After an
uncertain start to last season, Sam ended the campaign as
one of the form players in the team. He is a skilful
energetic winger, who has also chipped in with his fair
share of goals. Sam’s outstanding highlight of last season
was his man-of-the-match performance against FC Northbridge,
where the team came from 3-0 down to win 4-3, with Sam
scoring the equaliser.

Position: Super-Sub
(even older than David Fairclough!!!)
First Signed on the for Club: August 2009
Club appearances:
2
Goals: 1 Ron has
signed on again this season in order to help us out if we
are ever short on numbers. He is very proud of the fact that
he is the oldest ever person to play and score a goal for
the Calne Eagles. A record which is unlikely to be beaten.

Richard Maslen
Age: 30
Position: Right Back/ Centre Back
First Signed on the for Club: February 2010
Club appearances:
26
Goals: 1 Rich is a
bright and reliable player who has provided reliable cover
in numerous positions. Rich has a lot of strengths to his
game and if it were not for a succession of injuries over
the last 18 months he would have played a much bigger role
on the pitch than he has. He scored one of the best goals of
last season when he struck a sweet strike from distance
early in the campaign against Bratton.

Adam Moody
Age: 24
Position: Midfielder
First Signed on the for Club: July 2010
Club appearances:
28
Goals: 3 Adam joined the club in the
summer of 2010 from Castle Combe. He is one of the most
skilful players in the team, who on his day can be real
creative playmaker in midfield. Adam’s debut season was
disrupted by Injury, but in between times, he put in some
superb displays. Adam is equally capable playing in any
position across the midfield.

Graham Stickley
Age: 20
Position: Full Back
First Signed on the for Club: July 2010
Club appearances:
13
Goals: 0 Graham was
one of numerous players last year who were playing their
first season in men’s football. He has outstanding pace and
has shown a promising level of quality. Graham struggled to
find his form in the early part of last season but he put in
some really encouraging performances at left-back later in
the campaign and it was only injury and unavailability that
prevented him from commanding a regular place in the
starting line-up |

Aaron played regularly for the
team during our promotion season (2008/9). He then grasped
the opportunity join to Calne Town. He is now a regular in
their reserve team and has continued to prove his value at a
higher standard of football. Aaron played for us three times
last season and put in some very good performances. He also
scored a superb goal in the final game of the season against
Trowbridge Wanderers.

First Signed on the for Club: July 2007
Club appearances:
36
Goals: 8 After
starting last season in fine form, Steve dropped the news
that he would have to stop playing on Saturdays due to work
commitments. Steve is an energetic and pacy left-sided
player, who is equally competent in defence as in attack.
Steve also has a very good eye for goal.

quality and mobility to the team. He is also a very
versatile player who played in every position in midfield
and also put in two good performances up front towards the
end of last season. Matt is also a dead-ball specialist and
has taken the majority of our free kicks throughout the
season.

Alec Wells
Age:24
Position: Winger
First Signed on the for Club: August 2010
Club appearances:
28
Goals: 0
Having not played football
since leaving school, Alec decided to get back involved at
the start of last season. He has bags of ability and if he
continues to grow in confidence he could well start to
command a regular place within the starting line-up. Alec
has also brightened up the dressing room with his warm and
colourful personality.

Ben Wickens
Age:17
Position: Striker
First Signed on the for Club: October 2010
Club appearances:
16
Goals: 19 Despite
being quiet and understated, Ben made a huge impact on
the team. When he joined the club last October, he instantly
managed to give everybody a lift. Ben’s a superb finisher
but this quality in front of goal is matched equally by his
unselfish and uncomplicated link-up play. This season Ben
has earned a deserved move on to Wiltshire League side FC
Chippenham. However, Ben has still signed on, and like
Aaron Hopkins, he may well be
able help us out during this coming season.

from Castle Combe this summer where he was key part of their
team, scoring a total of 29 goals in 2 seasons, which helped
them secure two successive
promotions. Karl has undoubtedly provided the team with a lot of
extra pace and guile in attacking positions. He is also a
bubbly character who has been a welcomed addition to the
dressing room.

Adam Bewley

Rejoined Club: December
2008
Rejoined Club again:
August 2011
Club appearances:
69
Goals: 36 The
prodigal Son returns!!!
Adam is one of the brightest and most skilful players to
have played for Calne Eagles. However historically, every
time he looks like becoming a real key player for the team,
he moves on to pastures new - as his team mates delight in
reminding him. Nonetheless, along with
Ben Wickens, Bewley is probably
one of the best out-and-out strikers to have played for the
club. Hopefully he will play a big part for the team this
season, although his agent is already haggling for better
terms!
